Our Story

From our farm in Behal, Loharu

Arogya is a family farm in Behal, Loharu (Bhiwani, Haryana). We keep our own herd of desi Gir cows and make A2 ghee from their milk the slow, traditional way – the way it was made in village homes for generations.

Why we started

Most ghee in the market is made from cream in a few hours. It is quicker and cheaper, but it is not the ghee our families grew up with. We wanted ghee you could trust, made from one breed of cow, by one method, on one farm – and we wanted you to be able to check it.

How our ghee is made

  1. Milk: Fresh A2 milk from our own desi Gir cows only. No milk from other breeds is mixed in.
  2. Curd: The milk is boiled and set into curd overnight.
  3. Bilona: The curd is churned by hand with a wooden bilona to lift out the makkhan.
  4. Slow cooking: The makkhan is slow-cooked until it turns golden, grainy (danedar) and aromatic.
  5. Filling: The ghee is filtered and filled into jars on the farm.

It takes about 25–30 litres of A2 milk to make one litre of Bilona ghee.

Proof, not promises

Our ghee has been tested for 145 parameters at FARE Labs, Gurugram. You can read the full lab report on any ghee product page. We are registered with FSSAI (Reg. No. 20826002000198).

More from the farm

Along with ghee, we offer cold-pressed mustard oil, virgin coconut oil and raw honey.
